This gated, oceanfront 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom cottage is an ideal place to go for a cozy, cold-weather holiday on beautiful Vancouver Island.
The main floor has a modern, cottage-style kitchen, large living room, dining area, conservatory, queen bedroom, three-piece bathroom, and laundry facilities. On the second floor, guests will find two bedrooms, each with comfortable queen-sized beds and charming cottage furniture and an immaculately renovated three-piece bathroom.
Located just steps away from one of the most beloved, local sandy beaches, this cottage is the perfect location for winter seaside family holidays or group getaways. At low tide, you can bundle up and explore the expansive shoreline, try to catch a glimpse of some of the marine wildlife and groups with children will love having a colourful playground near the beach for those dry days.

Beautiful beachfront location with birds and sea lions swimming right out front
Beautiful beachfront location with birds and sea lions swimming right out front. The nearby airport made driving to things a bit of a hassle, but the noise from jets was not very noticeable inside.
But, the dishwasher didn’t work properly, the upstairs hot water tap leaked, there were stains that looked like bloody smudges on the downstairs bathroom door, and the host used a chatbot that kept asking us to let them know if there was anything we needed. When we asked for more than the one towel per person they provided the chat bot very helpfully set up a time to drop off towels only to have a human walk back the offer the next day and suggest we just wash our current towels instead. Not helpful, and very ingenuine experience!

Such a beautiful view, the photos don’t do it justice! Thank you for our really wonderful family get-together at this perfect little Kye Bay beach home. We really appreciated the set up of the house, with lots of space for people to spread out on their own or get together for meals and movie nights while looking out at the beach. In a quiet residential neighbourhood but close to the airport and local attractions like the Seal Bay hiking trails and Mount Washington (only 30 mins away). We hope to come back again soon!

The place is great. Outstanding views of the tide going in and out, close to Comox. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was stocked and the appliances were great. There is a sun room we spent most of our time in.
Rich, the host, was also an asset to helping out.
The cleanliness was not what I expected. Two blankets had a sour smell on the couch, the white chairs are stained, floors underneath the furniture probably hadn’t been cleaned in awhile, the reason we noticed is to move a chair for the tv and I dropped something under the couch and retrieving it there was a plethora of goodies. The bathroom upstairs had something on the window we could only guess at.
That all said Rich was quick to address it and we easily washed the blankets and a quick sweep.
