Nice view but poor property with safety concerns

SHUANG SONG
Positive: The property is very old and poorly maintained. U like other professional maintained shared space, this property has barely minimal facilities provided. The locker shown a wrong code at check in, causing us 30mins, then driving 20mins to get mobile phone reception to make phone call and get a correct code. The first aid bags are expired in 2014 and 2020. No salt or oil provided. The microwave oven is broken and master bedroom blinds are broken. Pots are very dirty. No extra linens provided Negative: There is a boat house near pier which is broken and dangerous- no sign to stop access. The pier is broken with serious safety issues.

Our group of three couples had a wonderful stay at this beautiful waterfront home

Our group of three couples had a wonderful stay at this beautiful waterfront home. The location is absolutely stunning, and the views are some of the best we've experienced at any Airbnb. Waking up to the water every morning and spending time on the property made for a very relaxing getaway. The home was spacious, comfortable, and well-suited for our group. We really enjoyed our time together and would definitely consider staying here again. There were just a few small details that could make the experience even better. Two of the bathrooms didn't have hand soap when we arrived, a couple of the pots had burnt cooking residue, and some of the outdoor gazebo furniture could use a good cleaning or updating. Overall, some of the furnishings are starting to show their age. These were relatively minor issues and didn't take away from what was an excellent stay. If you're looking for a beautiful waterfront property with incredible views and a great location, this is a wonderful choice.

We had a fantastic stay at the Sooke Beach House

Terry Gordon
We had a fantastic stay at the Sooke Beach House! The house was immaculate and exactly as described in the listing. The kitchen was well equipped with modern appliances, and the linens were comparable to those at a four-star hotel. The property itself is absolutely beautiful. It overlooks Sooke Harbour and Whiffin Spit, with the Strait of Juan de Fuca in the distance. The sunsets were breathtaking. The wildlife in the area was incredible. During our stay, we saw eagles, ravens, seals, sea lions, deer, river otters, and even caught rock crabs off the dock. The house is also just minutes from East Sooke Regional Park, which offers an excellent network of hiking trails suitable for all skill levels. EMR was a pleasure to deal with. They responded promptly to our questions and provided clear, detailed information about the property before our arrival. We would definitely look for one of their properties again when planning a future vacation.

Beautiful vista!

The location was amazing

The location was amazing. Very quiet and private. We had 4 generations of our family travelling together for a mini-reunion and the house/suite worked perfect for us. If you plan to cook, the kitchen was well equipped, but you will need to bring absolutely all food items including salt and pepper.

More beautiful than in the photos and an amazing stay

Maria Schumacher
More beautiful than in the photos and an amazing stay. We loved it! And you can catch crabs. Beware, they are a property management company and require you to sign a contract outside of Airbnb.

The property offers incredible views and a beautiful setting

Keri Gervais
The property offers incredible views and a beautiful setting. However, given its remote location, we felt the kitchen was not stocked with some basic essentials that would have made our stay more convenient. Items that were missing included cooking spray, sugar, coffee, zip-top bags, plastic wrap, and aluminum foil. There was also only one roll of paper towel provided and just three wine glasses available. Overall, the home itself was lovely, but a few additional kitchen staples would greatly enhance the guest experience, particularly for those staying in such a remote area.

Older, but charming

Older, but charming. Loved the beach and dock! Would definitely stay here again.
