The open plan eating area, living room, and queen Murphy bed have a spectacular view of the lake and make for an excellent location to enjoy a meal, read a book, or sleep in comfort.

You can also spend some time on the porch and private deck, both with comfortable patio furniture and enjoy the sounds of the awakening the surrounding forest.
Or bring your fishing gear and while away the day on the lake casting for trout. Life’s troubles will evaporate as the fresh air will help rejuvenate you during your getaway.
The Lakeside Cottage is also great as a monthly winter escape as it’s just 2 hours from Vancouver. Outdoor activities abound like hiking the trails or mountain biking.

Positive:
The property was private, beautiful and peaceful on a lake and close to Egmont. Perfect for our needs. Docks and lake access for kayaking (we brought our own) was great!
Negative:
I felt the “rules” / rental agreement seemed a little too restrictive and lengthy and put me off actually, particularly after payment was taken. In the end I was reassured by the staff and ended up really enjoying my stay, so not an issue thankfully.
Amazing trip
Amazing trip. Lydia helped us check in and gave us a bunch of tips and recommendations for the area. The cabin was amazing.

The Lakeside Cottage on North Lake is exactly as described and as shown in the photos - we loved it! Lydia, the greeter/host was lovely, friendly and helpful. The cottage was spotless and had everything we needed. The bed linens were of high quality and the bed was comfy. The property is private, super quiet and was perfect for relaxing on the dock with our dog. So nice that it is pet friendly!
The trailhead to Skookumchuck Narrows is just a short drive, as is Egmont and Earl's Cove. The Ruby Lake Resort Italian restaurant is exceptional and only 10 minutes away.
We would highly recommend the Lakeside Cottage for a relaxing, peaceful getaway!
We really enjoyed the location of this cabin
We really enjoyed the location of this cabin. It’s a beautiful area and a great little spot to enjoy the Sunshine Coast. Lydia was also very communicative upon our arrival and throughout our stay, and we appreciated how responsive she was by text.
Our biggest concern was simply the overall value for the price point. At the current rate, we felt there were a few areas that could be improved to better reflect what guests are paying. Some additional clarification in the listing regarding the actual size and layout of the cabin would also be helpful, as it would give guests a clearer picture of the space before booking.
There were also a few maintenance and cleanliness items that could use some attention, including the presence of multiple mouse sensors. We did not see a mouse during our stay, but these things, combined with some of the other maintenance details, did impact our perception of the overall value.

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful lakeside cabin at Maderia Park. The property was peaceful, private, and felt like we had the entire place to ourselves. The hiking trails were fantastic, and our dog absolutely loved swimming in the lake every day.
The cabin itself is rustic and cozy, but it had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The only downside was having to drive to a laundromat and the smoke alarm was very sensitive as it went off everytime we cooked our meals but it definitely didn’t take away from the experience.
Overall, this is a stunning waterfront property that’s perfect for anyone looking to relax, enjoy nature, and unwind. We will definitely be coming back!

We had such a lovely stay at The Lakeside Cottage. The property manager was absolutely amazing! When the power went out one evening, she called us right away to check in and make sure we had enough water and supplies. It was such a thoughtful gesture, and we really appreciated the care and attention.The cottage itself was very cute, clean, and cozy, with everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. While the dock and paddleboats could use a little TLC, we completely understand that with winter approaching, those won’t see much use. The lake was incredibly peaceful, with hardly anyone else around, which made for a truly quiet and restful experience.We really enjoyed our time here and would definitely come back. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a tranquil lakeside escape!

Pictures don't do the place justice! The care taker lady is amazing, the place is clean.The lake is stunning and the quiet atmosphere is second to none.Bring a sharp knife and foil, otherwise the kitchen is well stocked. Outstanding!!!!!
