Location! New! Green Building! Camden Green is the Place to Stay! Our one bedroom unit is the right place for vacationers who want to enjoy urban Victoria, as well as the amazing outdoor opportunities of the greater Victoria Area. If you are coming to Victoria for business this unit is a quick drive to the downtown area either via highway or surface streets. Should you need to be at Victoria General Hospital, the unit is within walking distance 1 kilometer. The Galloping Goose/Lochside bikeway and walkway is less than a 5 minute short stroll. This unit is also a short drive to the new Uptown Centre 4.3 kilometers, the Millstream shopping centres 5.3 kilometers and the Langford based shopping centres 5.8 kilometers, as well as the array of shopping opportunities in downtown Victoria. In March 2016 the Eagle Creek Centre began a rolling start-up of a Quality Foods supermarket, Cobbs Bakery, Starbucks, Forbes Pharmacy and other stores all less than 1 kilometer from this unit.

You will enter the underground, secure car park, have a dedicated space with no pillars to work around and are right across from the elevator. Every item in this top floor unit was purchased in July/August 2011 or since. As you enter the unit there is a small restroom on one side and a lovely kitchen with granite countertops with all of the equipment one would need. A personal favourite of the owners is the Griddler on which you can make Panini sandwiches, a steak, fish, etc. and with the other cooking plates have a flat griddle for pancakes and the like! The kitchen has a dishwasher and microwave. The owners, who regularly rent like units when they travel, have worked to put in the kitchen everything that they have wanted/needed in their travels.

The living space has a good sized living room with a couch/hide-a-bed, a reclining chair, 42 TV and blu-ray player. We have Telus Optik as the satellite TV and internet service and yes, the unit has full WiFi. There is a step up from the living room to the dining room where you have a wood drop-leaf table that easily seats 6 and could seat more. Both the living room area and dining room area have large windows, as does the bedroom, which look toward the Olympic Mountain Range of which you have a partial view.

The bedrooms main feature is a queen size bed with a wonderful Tempurpedic mattress. The bed has four draws underneath and there are floating attached to the wall nightstands which also have 2 draws on both sides of the bed. Know that the interior of all of the closets have been professionally designed to maximize storage space. The owners have a storage area separate from the unit, so you will not be denied access to any area. The large ensuite bathroom provides all of the normal amenities. In a closet inside the bathroom are the washer and dryer. The closets there are 3 have been professionally designed and finished providing significant storage. The floors are wood throughout with the exception of the bathroom which are tile. There is a good sized private deck that you access from the living room. The deck has lounge chairs and a small table, as well as propane BBQ.

The Camden Green building has been awarded the Gold Standard for its construction and use of energy. Hot water and heating is geothermal which means there will be plenty of hot water and for those cold days, The heat coming through the floor will keep your feet warm. There is a local market within a 5 minute walk, a major supermarket across the street and other major supermarkets within a short drive, to sites to see the Parliament Building 9.5 kilometers, Butchart Gardens 13.4 kilometers-, etc., and an array of outdoor activities all very close by. A Wonderful Condo

We enjoyed staying here very much while in Victoria and area. The condo was well equipped and very comfortable. It was well located to Esquimalt, View Royal and points west as well as to Victoria. The condo was very good value. We appreciated how helpful the EMR staff were in meeting us and being available. We'd definitely consider staying here again.

Enjoyable Stay

Very much enjoyed our stay. I did want to let you know that the propane tank on the barbecue was empty and we did not find the time to refill it. Kathryn was very pleasant to work with and it was nice to have the computer center and printer. Over all, everything was great.

Great convenient Location

We enjoyed approx. 5 weeks at this location and found it satisfactory. It is quite small and there are no facilities/amenities within the building. Both sides of the building are a little noisy, we were on the back quiet side. Our stay was through the summer and it should be noted that there is NO AIR CONDITIONING! Additionally, ventilation was poor despises 2-3 floor fans. A car is necessary but bus depots are close by the Hospital. New plaza across the road is handy.

It Was A Good Stay

We stayed for 12 days. Cons The place was clean with the exception of the washing machine. It had some mold on the outer rim, inside the door. A couple of the walls had dirty hand marks. The Bar stools were too tall for the counter. The pull out bed was not really comfortable. My son ended up sleeping on the couch not pulled out. You could hear people talking in the halls on occasion. Pros Liked having the secure underground parking. Plenty of space for the three of us. Excellent customer service. We needed to extend our stay by a couple of days and they were able to accommodate no trouble. Check in & out was simple.

Quiet and conveniently located condo

This condo could not have been more well-equipped. It was clean and very comfortable, and we appreciated having the underground parking. Would definitely recommend!

Too Hot in Victoria

I found the condo very hot, and there is no AC as such. it was between 26-27 degrees. And the toilet was plugged, which I solved. Great place, but too hot.

This property was extremely comfortable and well equipped. Exactly as described, we were not disappointed in any way. For a winter stay, it was well heated - in summer it may be too warm. Great location close to the highway. Although we did not investigate public transport a car would be an advantage.

Great Place !

Very clean and safe condo. The staff very helpful and accommodating. Nice to have the little things like soap and paper towels in stock so you do not have to run out the first day.

Well located quiet condo

We enjoyed our stay as the condo is centrally located and close to great walking locations and shopping. The condo was quiet with secure, safe parking and is generally well-equiped but could use some updating for pots/pans and furniture. Although the unit is non-smoking, people smoking in the hallways and neighbouring balconies can be an issue when the windows are open.

Additional days and Tipping recommendation

We appreciated being able to get in 4 days early. We did tip but we wondered about the point of the tipping as all we got were the keys and hello.

Very Good Rental Accommodation

It was a nice place and near the hospital as in our case. Very well kept and well stocked with spices and towels and other accessories. It was nice to have a printer and also paper for the printer.

Perfect location

This is a perfect location very close to the #1 and only 15 mins to downtown Victoria. Perfect for a family that doesn't spend all of their time downtown. Easy access to up island activities and excursions.

All in a good place and convenient. Owners belongings made storage space a premium. Had trouble with neighbours being over sensitive re my small pet. Gave wrong impression while he was adjusting. Had feeling of being spied on by cameras. No neighbourly contact.

Location, Location, Location

This rental turned out to be a longer term, 6 month rental versus a short term stay. The condo is small but well laid out and worked well for 2 people. Top floor is a bonus as it the outside deck space with seating and a BBQ. There were a few minor things that needed to be sorted out at the front end of the rental time with the EMR staff very efficiently and effectively addressing. The location for our needs was outstanding being central with easy access into downtown Victoria, the airport and ferries, going over to Sooke or heading up Island but having a vehicle is a must. Right across the street is a shopping mall with all the services you need to complete the stay - grocery, liquor and a few take-out food options. The complex that this unit is in well kept, and for the most part, quiet. As with all condo complexes, there was the occasional noisy neighbour issue but nothing that was tolerable as it seldom lasted.

Our apartment was clean and comfortable , any guest ions we had were answered . We were impressed at how well the unit was stocked and the well thought out kitchen . The only small negative is we didnt seem to have control of the heat . If we set the thermostat at 18 the temperature didnt go below 22 even when it was below zero outside .

Well Managed, Quiet and a Great Location!

This third floor condo on Camden Avenue is in a quiet building, is tastefully decorated and has large windows for a bright south view. It contains all the kitchen items and appliances required for preparing meals, a raised dining area with large table, a bright and comfortable living room, with many extras like linens, paper products and soap supplied. The bedroom is spacious and has a wonderful queen size Tempurpedic memory foam mattress for a comfortable sleep. The ensuite bathroom contains a hidden washer/dryer unit for laundry requirements and there is also a handy two piece bathroom off the living area. The flooring is hardwood and tile throughout with in-floor heat so we found it cozy during our February stay, with three large ceiling fans for air movement when desired.
This condo is perfectly located a short distance from both downtown Victoria and Langford, making it easy to access all the attractions of the downtown plus the conveniences of major department and grocery stores in Langford. Kitty corner across the street on Helmcken Road is Eagle Creek Village Mall which is an easy stop for groceries and other immediate needs.
We were thankful for the convenience and security of the underground parking stall. In the same parking area we utilized the locked bicycle storage room for safe storage of bicycles during our stay.
For cycling, walking and jogging we often accessed the Galloping Goose Trail which is only 250 meters down the street from this condo. A short drive of 10 - 20 minutes took us to numerous regional and provincial parks for hiking and cycling day trips.
The condo was immaculately clean and the service provided by the EMR Vacation Rentals team was top notch, friendly and professional. The EMR staff were efficient and accommodating, very pleasant, and they made everything about renting this unit easy. We highly recommend this condo!

Great location

This was a great rental property. The building is well kept. The location is ideal for exploring the greater Victoria area. For those with bicycles it is perfect as they have a very secure locked bike storage room and the Galloping Goose trail is easily accessed down the street. This is the best and most generously equipped and organized condo that I have ever rented.
Everything including the gas bbq, the comfortable bed, the printer, the washer/dryer, the secure underground parking and more made this a very comfortable stay. I would highly recommend this unit.
