Tantalus Lodge is a lovely log cabin located in the wilderness between Squamish and Whistler in the Squamish Valley. Sitting on the back porch of the cabin we were looking at the beautiful Tantalus Glacier. We were surrounded by lovely giant trees and beautiful scenery. The only sounds were of chattering squirrels and songbirds. Serene, quiet, and beautiful.

We really enjoyed our stay at Tantalus Lodge....would go back and stay there if we returned to BC, and highly recommend it to any potential visitors.

We enjoyed meeting our greeter, and were able to take advantage of some of his suggestions re the area, also dropping off and picking up luggage.
Our friends found the 60 steps from garage to living room a little challenging. Though fit, they are not used to stairs.
We had all we needed in the townhouse, including very comfortable beds and a spectacular view and sunrise.
For driving into the city, it is very accessible to Oak and Granville.
We highly recommend it.

Comfortable, lovely area, apartment and garden.

The location is amazing. Very close to restaurants, shops and entertainment. We particularly enjoyed the short walk to Granville Island which the kids loved. The decor was very modern and clean. The supplies at this accommodation were really great. There were tons of towels, clean sheets, cleaning supplies and paper towels. The kitchen is well stocked with cooking implements. We would definitely stay here again!

I recently stayed in the Turner Home and we had a fantastic stay. I look after about 40 holiday homes myself in Bath, England so have very high standards. We had done a lot of travelling through the Rockies and were exhausted by the time we got to Vancouver so were thankful to have a nice home to relax in. Unfortunately the weather wasn't great so we didn't get to take advantage of the garden or the beach. I would definitely recommend the property and the service I got from EMR was second to none.

We enjoyed our cute character home on Trinity street and it worked well for our family. The room in the basement would not be good for younger kids so you may want to note that it is in the basement and not on the main level for families with younger kids since it is so far away from the upstairs master. We would have loved to have a microwave so that is a suggestion for the homeowner but we loved the way the home was decorated.

The owners of Quarry Court are thoughtful and considerate, leaving little notes to guide us along on how to use the variety of remote controls and media systems. The house is beautifully maintained with fantastic views. We love seeing the doe with her fawns visiting the garden every morning. Our family has spent hours playing at the pool table and the kids enjoyed the foosball table. A nice, spacious home for our family of 10. The slight glitch was issue with hot water usage which I believe the owner will fix. He has been very prompt with replies to our queries and concerns. We are thankful to have such a nice home for our family reunion vacation.

The unit was small but comfortable with nice views. The A/C turned out to be a life saver. Although a bit of a walk to Coal Harbor, Yaletown, and the west end, we found the location, which is a 5-minute walk to Gastown, and right above Costco, to be very convenient. The best part was the excellent service, and responsiveness to our needs by Isabele, Simone, and Nicole.

We truly had a great time in Vancouver and at the Hidden Gem.
Getting around from there was easy. Be it by foot, bus or the Aqua Bus.
The location is in walking distance to Granville Island and its market. Fresh fruit, vegetables and fish can be bought there. Later it all can be very well prepared in the kitchen or on the gas grill on the balcony of the Hidden Gem.
The apartment is very well equipped and pleasantly furnished.
Sitting on the balcony at night, overlooking the bay and the fireworks is very special.
We can strongly recommend the this rental!

Pros Very private, good location, large rooms, excellent beds A, great soaker tub, very bright, nicely furnished.

Cons Could use more childproofing. Wasn't very safe for children large windows, huge staircase, etc. Could use a few more cleaning supplies like sprays and extra paper towels. The yard was also not safe for kids the owner is working on it already though. The third bedroom on the second has a bunk bed and a ceiling fan which was very unsafe.

Overall we had an excellent time at this location and would definitely stay there again in the future.

Thank you very much for helping to make our 50th wedding anniversary memorable. Your beautiful home was the perfect location, close to the ferries, airport, and the unique town of Sidney. Our family came from Australia, Canada, and USA, and we all enjoyed relaxing in the pool and gardens. The rooms were so comfortable, and we enjoyed several theme nights, with delicious fresh seafood and produce. We had trips to Sidney, Victoria, Butchart Gardens, and golfed, with the highlight being a special anniversary dinner at the nearby Deep Cove Chalet. The accommodation was excellent, the suite is very comfortable and felt like a home to us and is equipped with everything that you need. The owners Bob and Elizabeth made us feel very welcome, with a lovely welcome basket on our arrival. We stayed ten days and had beautiful weather to enjoy the garden and patio area which was very relaxing. Our little dog loved the garden too and got to play with the owners's dog which was a very friendly dog. The home is close to parks and lots of walking trails which we enjoyed every day and is located in an area which is perfect for having a peaceful and relaxing vacation. We would highly recommend this accommodation and would love to visit it sometime again.

Testimony: Eagle`s Nest Retreat

Eagle's Nest was beyond our expectations. The view alone was worth it! We spent most of our time outside enjoying the massive patio and hot tub with a spectacular view. The central location of this property allowed us to visit Vancouver, Whistler and Victoria in just a short period of time. The house was pristine and although the sleeping arrangements were not perfect for our group, no one complained. The amenities more than made up for it. We look forward to returning in the future!

Brenda Dominy at EMR Vacation Rentals was a delight to work with and was very helpful in assisting us in finding this perfect property. We could not have been happier. The greeters were prompt upon arrival and departure making our stay especially hassle-free.

WOW! What a great place to take the family! When we showed up, the place was so neat and tidy. All the kids had their own room and everything they could hope for! For the teenagers, their own TV and bathroom as a major plus! And for the kids, they loved all the toys that were in the bedroom. The first morning, the kids played so well...we got to sleep in for the first time in years!!!

Each morning, the kids and I watched the deer and the rabbits play and had a leisurely breakfast until the rest of the family got ready. Then the quick walk to Rathtrevor Beach was great. We all enjoyed walking, building sand castles and finding all the little crabs and shells in the sand.

We would definitely come again...and to this vacation home. It had everything we could want and more...which could have been a hard thing to do with two teenage girls and three kids under the age of 5! Thanks again!!!

The bungalow was very comfortable and decorated in an interesting way. The beds were good and the house was clean. The yard was very nice and the garden amazing, it could use a bigger table outside. The kitchen garbage can was too small. The neighbors were very friendly and the proximity to shopping, parks and ocean was super.

Neptune by the Sea was a terrific rental during the week we spent in North Saanich for a wedding and related activities. The location, home layout, condition of the house and furnishings were 1st class. I can't remember for sure but I don't think the promo on the EMR website mentioned the hot tub or the high speed internet access, which we considered bonuses. Everyone who stayed there with us or visited us during our stay thought the property/furnishings/and luxury touches were exceptional.

I was also amazed that the owner took the time to call us following our check in to make sure we were happy with the accommodation and it's features. A very positive practice for him to have undertaken.

For new renters at Neptune, I'm sure you will enjoy a terrific vacation home.

As pet owners/visitors we found it easy to keep the place spotless with the supplied cleaning supplies and washer & dryer in our suite. The Manor Suite had every convenience imaginable for our comfort. Furniture, bed, bedding and decor etc. We would rate as high end. Suite looked out on a private fenced garden Near Government house, it is like living in a mini Butchart garden setting. Neighbours were friendly and welcoming to us and our pet. The owners, the Junes, a very classy couple and their personable dog Noah, had a welcome basket of coffee, cookies and cream etc. placed in the suite for our arrival. All these touches were appreciated after travelling by car such a long distance. The decor and suite layout were absolutely beautiful and with B.C. touches in photos and artwork. A small library of books and magazines & large TV were enjoyed. We were very impressed with EMR from the beginning. Our Agent did not oversell this beautiful accommodation and let us see for ourselves how nice it was. Her promptness, thoroughness with all the details made it easier for us to relax as most properties, regardless of the pet's credentials, are reluctant to approve a pet visitor. Our EMR greeter and closer was prompt and informative making it easier to enter and depart. On our return to Winnipeg, we have recommended EMR and website to our friends and contacts. PS We are now in the process of booking our 2nd visit for spring 2011. That's how much we enjoyed The Manor, the owners and Noah. Thanks EMR.

We absolutely loved this location. The view was great. The restaurants in Yaletown were great and it was within walking distance and or the water taxis of everywhere we wanted to go in Vancouver itself. We really enjoyed the gathering of all the different dogs in the park below, it was at times more entertaining than the TV. I would most definitely want to stay in this area again.

We absolutely loved the home we rented in Deep Cove. Our agent was a huge help in helping find the location and providing us information regarding the surrounding are. Our greeter provided us with very easy to follow directions and was very accommodating meeting us at the time of our arrival. The home was lovely and large enough to accommodate everyone in our family. We enjoyed grilling on the deck every evening and enjoying the view across the cove. Deep Cove was a charming town with very pleasant residents. On our final night we received two bonuses, a beautiful rainbow across the cove and a black bear right outside our kitchen window. Apparently he also enjoyed the scent of our grilling. Again thank you to all who assisted in making our Vancouver stay a memorable one. WE WILL BE BACK.

We had a great time! Everything was awesome and we want to make this a annual thing if Jim will have us back. Jim was wonderful, very nice and made our stay comfortable. His house is beautiful and it was nice to feel right at home.

The Fishing was great caught some we have never seen before. There were tons of starfish and seals too.

The weather was not the best but we did not really mind cause we just had such a great time. Also you really can't depend on the weather in Victoria

Loved the condo and location. Two TVs would be wonderful, especially for two couples. Better lighting in the living room, to read by. Some spices in the kitchen as well as some baking pans would be good. The outdoor porches, barbeque and furniture were lovely. The location near the bus service, shopping was very handy. We were most impressed that the reservation agent managed to change our arrival and departure date forward a day due to my son in law's operation. This was much appreciated.

The property was exceptional - like a home from home - only better! From the kitchen equipment to the towels and bedding, everything was top quality and a real treat. The greeter was very friendly and also on the end of the phone to ask a couple of questions, which we thought was good service.

We are a group of 5 women and 4 of us come from Europe and arrive in sunny California to meet and complete our group, who grew up together and had planned a vacation in Vancouver Island and especially in a Herons Rest that charmed us right from the beginning when seeing the photo's of your website. Despite the rainy whether on the day of arrival, we left sunny California mind you, the greeter had warmed the house so that compensate the cold and rain. Everything was provided in the house which makes our stay so convenient especially the cooking part afterward enjoying the dinner with a bottle of wine. No restaurant could give us the atmosphere we had every evening because of the house. felt like 5. Fortunately the rain was just at the start so we could make tours and come back and light the fireplace and enjoy the herons rest. If we will visit Vancouver Island again we certainly choose for the Herons Rest again.

The caretaker/owner was so nice and we feasted on fresh mussels from his dock and were even awoken on a Sunday morning to let us know that a pod of Killer Whales were out front. That made the whole trip worth it!! Very nice place and very quiet.

We very much enjoyed our month of March stay at Cosset Cottage. It was very clean and comfortable. It was nice to have a backyard and a private drive. It was well equipped and very well furnished. Only a few steps from Cadboro Bay Village and the beach. Our grandchildren also enjoyed visiting us.

I was, initially, a bit surprised that it was a semi-basement condo, however, since the owners are are not there during the day it proved to be not so bad. The whole premises could use an upgrade and the second bedroom was small and the bed very hard.

The premises was OK clean but not our standard, that could be worked on a bit.

Overall we loved the location and would probably rent it again should the circumstances arise.

Our greeter, treated us really well and was very accommodating and we thank him for that.

Even though we rented during an especially busy period 2010 Olympics, the EMR staff was very knowledgeable and proactive in regards to all of the special conditions and requirements that would affect our stay. They accommodated all of our needs and quickly quelled our worries, providing simple solutions which made our stay stress free and allowed us to greatly enjoy our time in Whistler.

The condo we rented, Alpine Way, had all of the amenities we needed. Six of us had ample space and our kids really enjoyed the nook with its games and supplies. Its proximity to the bus stop, a convenience store and Whistler Village made life easy. We even took advantage of the fantastic recreational facility a 5 minute walk away.

We definitely recommend this condo and EMR, and hope to go back and visit again.

Our greeter was wonderful and truly bent over backwards to assist us with our visit. The accommodations were adequate but the value was not in keeping with the price that was charged. We did experience a few items that were not exactly as described, not anything major--no hairdryer, no computer, internet was extremely wishy-washy and we had specific need during our visit that was difficult to fulfill. We did very much enjoy our events and appreciated having accommodations that allowed us to attend.

Though we were generally unfamiliar with the area prior to our arrival, we found that our accommodations were perfectly suited to our needs and were an integral part of our overall outstanding experience of the Olympic games. In particular, we'd like to specially acknowledge and thank our greeter, Meredith, a simply charming young lady, who was consistently personable, accessible, and incredibly helpful to us at every turn. It was a great location and we really enjoyed the local restaurants, having them within walking distance was definitely a bonus. There were only 2 minor complaints 1 we couldn't find a local phone book to look up the address of restaurants 2 it was initially awkward having the owners knickknacks around the house but overall it was great.

The staff at EMR Vacation Rentals was very helpful to my family as we planned our Vancouver Olympics travel. They helped us find a wonderful property, Spectacular Views, that met our needs and timeline. The property matched both the posted description and our expectations. Hi overall, during the Olympics, had a wonderful stay at the Miro. After a little dis coordination on our greeter meeting time, we were greeted warmly and efficiently. The accommodations were very nice and location perfect for our events. I would say the bed was not the most comfortable and simply updating the pillows and bedding would go a long way to improve that. The bed frame is loose and noisy. The computer setup is outdated and wireless modem would be nice, but overall everything else was great. My experience with EMR rentals is a positive one and would look forward to doing business in the future when the need arises.

It is hard to rate the value of the accommodations for the price paid as we stayed there during the Olympics when everything was over priced to start with. The accommodations we had were in an excellent area and we were able to walk anywhere. Also the skytrain and bus routes were very close by. Having the supermarket across the street was convenient. The condo we stayed in had everything you would need, it was clean and the greeter service was superb. The greeter was there exactly when they said they would be and they showed us around the condo.

It's difficult to put a proper rating on this rental as it took place during the Olympics. We can say that we were extremely comfortable during the stay. We arrived to find the place immaculate. There were plenty of instructions for using the appliances etc. and even a local map that showed locations for groceries, etc.

There was a bit of confusion on the check-in and checkout we had 2 greeters meet us for check-in but staff were very friendly and helpful.

EMR has been added to my computer's contact list and we will definitely consider using them again in the future.

The location was wonderful - very close to Yaletown & Robson Square and an easy walk to Stanley Park and Grandville Island. Other than our visit to Grouse Mountain, we parked our car and easily walked or took public transportation anywhere we wanted to be in the city. Our reservation agent, Lori, was very helpful in finding the location & on helping us decide where we wanted to be in the city. This was our first visit to Vancouver but it will not be our last! Our greeters Justyna and Lindsey were also very friendly, helpful, and prompt. I would use EMR again and I would recommend it to others as well.

We had a wonderful experience. Since we were traveling with 4 adults and 2 children 3 and 1, we decided that it would be good to have a house as a base from which to function. The location with respect to the bus lines was great - we were one block from the bus stop that we could take to downtown Vancouver and we had event tickets, which allowed us to ride the bus for free. We also figured out from the internet that it was beneficial to buy packets of bus tickets at various locations. We had a 7-11 2 blocks away that sold those. One suggestion would be to have a booklet with suggestions on how to work the system. The one disadvantage of the location was that the only grocery stores within walking distance were the Asian markets about a 15 minute walk away. Since I am Asian that wasn't an issue, but we figured out that the corner 7-11 had milk, eggs, and cereal. They also had one pack of diapers when we ran low. The variety of restaurants was limited, also. The house worked fine - we were extra cautious as we were aware that the owner preferred no children younger than 4. The bare wood stairs without an upper railing were a little scary at first, but we figured out how to keep the kids off of the stairs. If we were able to reserve a crib to use that would have been useful information don't know if that is possible or not.
Vancouver seemed like a friendly city with good energy - enjoyed Gastown and Stanley Park. Would like to see the area when it is warmer, it seems like a beautiful area. Lori did a great job helping to arrange the housing - always had answers to questions and seemed to get the property that was the best fit for what we needed. Magda did great as a greeter - even though we had never met she was a warm person with a friendly demeanor meeting us after midnight after a train trip from Portland. She was also very helpful during the checkout process, which was also early due to the early departure of the train back to Portland. They both represented Vancouver positively and helped set the tone for our view of your city and the experience of the Olympics. We felt welcomed and knew that if we needed anything we would have someone we could contact for information.

Thank you very much for the professional, competent manner in which our experience was handled. If we visit the area again, we would certainly consider using your services. We debated using hotels vs. staying in a property - I think we made the right decision.

We enjoyed our stay at the Touch Stone apartment. It was beautifully presented, modern and quiet. It was in a perfect location, easily accessible to all the transport facilities we needed for the Olympics and for just getting around Vancouver. A shopping centre close by and one a short bus ride away catered to most of our needs. The local restaurants were very nice to eat at and the food was excellent, their pricing was very reasonable.

Chris & Sharon, our hosts, was very helpful in all ways. They were very friendly and easy to communicate with. They made sure our stay was everything we could want even to the smallest detail of putting in fresh milk for our coffee. We were extremely happy with them.

We would recommend the apartment to anyone looking for a lovely area of Vancouver to stay.

The only negative comment probably does not pertain to EMR, it was the feeling of being gouged on price for the accommodation due to the Olympics. We really enjoyed our stay in Strathcona during the 2010 Olympics and were pleased with the service that we received from EMR. Although the website is not well-organized or easy to search, our reservation agent was very helpful in sending options based on our ever-changing criteria. We finally settled on a house in the Strathcona neighborhood, which was nice and quiet, yet only a mile from either downtown or Commercial Drive.

The accommodations were as promised and very well kept. It appeared that we were staying in someone's home or frequently-used second home with quality furnishings and appliances throughout. The house was stylish, safe, and clean. The only problem we experienced at all was the lack of wireless internet access, which had been promised on the website but was unavailable due to a password-protected wireless access point. This password seemed to be the only detail omitted from what was otherwise a very well-written and detailed guest manual left by the owners.

Our greeter was very pleasant and punctual, but not very familiar with the local neighborhood or specifics regarding the Olympics activities downtown. Although I gave her a gratuity upon check-in, it seemed that she was expecting one on check-out as well. I did not pay an additional one at check-out, which made for an uncomfortable departure. Having never had a greeter for a vacation rental before, I was generally unsure of the etiquette all the way around and would really prefer that this charge be built-in for future rentals.

Overall, EMR was professional and forthright I would not hesitate to work with you all again on our next visit. And I'll especially look forward to paying less-than-Olympic rates next time, too Thank you.

The unit was beautiful, spacious and clean with a knockout view and was well appointed once we found the secret flatware drawer we were happy, though I suggest that the owner adds a hairdryer for guests. The unit well located to the restaurants, galleries and shops in Gastown and an easy walk to downtown. The bus system was also an easy way for us to get to our Olympic events from the unit.

Our vacation home for the 2010 Olympics was perfect!
The bedrooms were so comfortable, the living area wonderful for our group to spend time together, the dining room very intimate, and the kitchen just could not be better! A lot of space and so many dishes and appliances to use. The location in Kitsilano was fabulous! We were close to downtown, but we could get away to our neighborhood for a little peace and quiet from the Olympic crowds. Our landlords left very specific maps and lists of amenities in the neighborhood that we found very helpful.

The apartment was very comfortable and clean and had everything we required, although we really did not cook during our stay. Our stay was fantastic. This is not just Vancouver 2010 euphoria, we actually mean it. The accommodations were exactly what was represented on the website, we lacked for nothing or almost nothing - we had to buy a coffee-maker when we couldn't find the one that was supposed to be in the unit, and, of all things, a toilet plunger, but by and large the place was equipped, furnished and supplied with everything a guest could need. It was physically situated a short walk from a Skytrain station an element that was crucial to our decision to rent the unit. Most importantly, EMR were professional about an offer that came in to the owner very late - to take the unit for the entire 2 weeks at a higher rental than we were paying. When offered a premium to give up our contract, we replied that we would do so only if EMR found us equivalent accommodation at a price that did not surpass our contract amount plus the premium we were being offered. When none materialized, EMR and the owner bit the bullet and honoured our rental agreement, something that would not have happened in many cities I could name! Good on you, EMR!

We had a fantastic time coming back to the wonderful and beautiful city of Vancouver for the Winter Olympics. Unfortunately, our time went by so fast.

I really want to thank Paul, Lindsay and Shannon for all their assistance in making the accommodations. Brava 15 was a great place to stay and Yaletown was a great part of the city.

Also thanks to our greeter Yen for having a lot of patience. Our flight was canceled due to snow in Dallas and we tried to fly out 3x on standby that Friday. I know this disruption probably threw off Yen's schedule. We didn't fly out until Saturday thereby losing a day but Yen was still available to greet us when we arrived. Also, she had to check us out at the early morning hour of 430 am. Thanks again Yen!

We appreciate the ease with which our booking and the transfer of keys occurred. We especially liked the location -- it sure came in handy when we left a hockey game and it was raining fairly steady!

It was nice to have the laundry soap provided, as well as shampoo and soap we had brought our own, but didn't need them. The washer and dryer were excellent perhaps better than any we have found in other rentals.

Our family of four adults enjoyed our Olympic week condo very much! There were plenty of towels, bedding, kitchen equipment and supplies. The beds were very comfortable, the shower was always hot, and everything was spotless. We thought the location was excellent within walking distance to everything in downtown. The secure parking, swimming pool, and hot tub were added bonuses. I would like to particularly mention the flexible and friendly greeter, Anita. She was great! I was stressed about finding accommodations for the Olympics and Lori was very helpful and prompt about communicating with me. We had a wonderfully perfect vacation and will visit again soon!

This response is a little late as I spent a week in Victoria with my daughter following our stay at Beachwood House before returning home to Calgary. Vancouver Island is such a beautiful place, it is hard to leave.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Beachwood House. It was a pleasure to arrive to such a welcoming home. Beautifully appointed, spacious and so clean. It was perfect. From walking out on the gorgeous sand spits at low tide to skiing under blue skies at Mount Washington ... doesn't get any better.

Overall, the apartment was comfortable enough. My greeter told me they strive for hotel-level accommodations. When we were inspecting the place at check-in, the blinds were extremely dusty and one set was badly mangled, which she said clearly wasn't hotel level.
There was a floor lamp in the living room that did not have a working bulb, so light was dim. Neither one of these problems is a fatal flaw, but they did diminish the overall experience.
I rented the unit during the Olympics, so I'm sure prices were inflated above normal levels. Location was very convenient for me, easy walk to everything I needed.

The booking was easy and working with our booking agent was easy. The place was clean and extremely convenient to downtown Vancouver.

The problems were that the cleaning service came in on us twice, an hour after we arrived and the night before we left. When I called the greeter from the airport, she thought we were supposed to arrive later even though I emailed her the correct time after she sent me the incorrect time. That said, she was at the property waiting for us when we arrived.

We are very pleased that we chose EMR for our stay in Vancouver during the Olympics. Geoff, the owner of the condo we stayed in, was very friendly and very accommodating to us upon arrival. He showed us around the place, gave us his phone number in case we had questions, and even tried to help us sell some extra Olympic tickets when we were leaving town. The condo was absolutely amazing! We were the first guests ever to stay there so everything was brand new and clean! Everything was nicely decorated, and the condo had everything we could possibly need available for our use! After seeing the place, we were very surprised by the great rate we received. Our Olympic accommodations were absolutely fabulous and everything went seamlessly. We had an early check-in and our greeter was waiting for us at the property when we arrived. The condo was exactly as pictured and described. We even had access to the 5th floor gym, spa and pool area - so it felt like we were staying in a hotel. In addition, we had free wireless. Overall, EMR provided great communication in booking the accommodation, allowing us an early check-in and arranging our greeter. We were concerned that with the amount of people in Vancouver for the Olympics we might get overlooked in some way, but EMR followed through in every way. Our only regret is that we couldn't stay longer!

Our accommodation was amazing, it had everything we needed and more, it was very clean and comfortable certainly one of the best we have ever stayed in. The location to downtown just a couple of blocks away, was a big bonus. EMR really looked after us, from our initial contact with them through to the end of our holiday they were very helpful and informative, keeping us informed and updated at all times, they gave us a very professional and personal service we would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone, in fact we already have, we also plan to use them again in the future, as we have the up-most confidence in them. The gave us exactly what we asked for and more, thank you EMR. If there was a downside, we felt that the photos of the accommodation came nowhere near to doing it justice. Its a beautiful condo and we loved it and now wish we had booked for 2 months.

Testimony: Eagle`s Nest Retreat

Eagle's Nest Retreat looked amazing on the website and in terms of design it is a beautiful place. However this house should not be advertised for large groups of people it falls short of accommodating 8-10 people comfortably in terms of sleeping arrangements and facilities. To consider a pull-out sofa as proper accommodation is misleading since it is not comfortable and the den really cannot be considered luxurious accommodation since it is a sofa one is sleeping on and the sliding door is paper thin - giving no real privacy or quiet for anyone who is sleeping there. The only luxurious room is the master bedroom. The living room does not have adequate furniture for more than 4 people to sit on... there is one sofa and two stools which left the other four in our group forced either to stand or bring the garden furniture in to sit on since sitting on the cold tiled floor was not an option. The kitchen is extremely poorly equipped for cooking and entertaining. There are exactly 10 plates and cups which makes it very difficult to prepare food without having to wash as you go all of the time. In terms of pots and pans and other cooking essentials, we found that we could not cook with such a poor supply of cooking utensils and thus were forced to buy a few pots there were only 2 pots at the premises and basics such as a knife to cook with. The dining table sits only 6 so we could never sit as a whole group around the table some of our group always had to eat at the counter. Essentially I think that this house should be advertised as a rental for comfortably sleeping up to 6 - in the summer time that is, since the basement bedroom was so cold that extra heaters had to be brought in for sleeping there - and up to 4 people in the winter time. We also thought that the owner should spend some funding on upgrades - better heating, providing the house with adequate and better quality furniture and home essentials like extra bedsheets, hooks in the bathroom so that you can dry the towels after a shower, etc... It certainly is not in the category of luxurious accommodation.

Everyone had a great stay at the Oceanview estate. Lori was excellent, professional and very patient. The accommodations were great and surprisingly easy to find. The greeter was friendly and very helpful. The grounds were beautiful and well kept. The estate was located in a peaceful area and parking was plentiful. The estate was well furnished and spacious. We certainly appreciated your directions and ease in completing the paperwork. It was a pleasure to work with you by email. All the paperwork was completed efficiently and we found it very user friendly. My only concerns which are minor were the lack of lighting to the shed where the garbage was housed, the rug in the master bedroom was a tripping hazard and the cleanliness of the hot tub. There appeared to be an oily film in the water. Lastly, I would recommend another double bed downstairs instead of a single just for comfort sake. Overall, our stay was amazing thanks to EMR and Lori. Thank you again and I am sure we will call again.

It felt like it's been a while since anyone was in the flat and it lacked a final touch to it... bit dusty here and there... EMR provides an excellent service with easy contact during our stay and action orientated with any issues we may have had.

Amenities worked with the exception of the fire place - this was advertised with fireplace but the owner knows is does not work. This particular property's kitchen was minimally stocked with cooking items lacked blender, mixer etc compared to other properties we have rented. The quality of kitchen utensils were of poor and low value - requiring hand washing. Television selection was poor to say the least.

Carpets were unkempt as many stains were noted throughout the property.

Garbage disposal is a bit of an issue but part of the local and area.

Internet capabilities was truly a blessing. The view and location were incredible. The hot tub and steam shower were thoroughly enjoyed. The house is very functional and as well being a very well planned/well laid out property.

We appreciated EMR meeting our early check in and EARLY check out requests, This was indeed a nice service offered. Also the personal check out with EMR's representative on-site was most welcomed and appreciated.

We enjoyed our stay - we have recommended the exceptional services of EMR to some of our friends and colleagues already.

We would really have to evaluate if we were to stay at Neptune by the Sea again - there are comparable places with better values available - yet Neptune by the Sea does have a one of a kind location and view.

Very nice accommodation. However, the neighbors were loud at several times during my stay and I didn't feel I could approach them based on the agreement and warnings about doing so. It was only a few times, and it didn't overall impact my enjoyment of the accommodation.

There was some confusion with the WIFI that while the greeter assured me was working, it wasn't and he simply pointed me to the apartment's manual that didn't provide enough information. At the end of the day, the WIFI was unplugged and stored in the closet. I had to spend a couple hours figuring it out myself.

Lori from EMR was invaluable in helping me with my plans and I couldn't say enough about how she went the extra mile when some billing/confirmation instances occurred.

I had a wonderful weekend in my rental apartment in the house on Manor Rd. Bob and Elizabeth, and their dog, Noah, were wonderful neighbors. I appreciated their friendliness, and Bob's help with ferry information. They've created a beautiful, very well-equipped, and quiet rental that I will definitely return to. I especially appreciated the NW Coast native art, including the nice Susan Point print in the bedroom. The kitchen was well-equipped, and I easily fixed dinner for friends that came over the evening before the marathon. A nice touch in the kitchen is that the wine glasses are of a nice quality--much nicer than heavy, small wine glasses in some rentals! I enjoyed walking around the gorgeous neighborhood on the sunny Saturday afternoon--the Craigdarroch Castle and the Lt Governor's grounds were both a short walk away.
The multi-page contract and check-in and -out process seemed like a lot, but when I saw the well-kept property I certainly understand the desire for a detailed and careful rental process--I would expect the same if it were my property.

Deer Lake Manor provided us great accommodation in a great location. A short walk to the park and a short drive to Vancouver. The owners of Deer Lake Manor are two great people and the love that they have poured into their house during the renovation is clear to see. Our stay at Grant Manor was a very good experience. However there were just a couple of issues we had to deal with. We were not provided with adequate toilet paper and the bathroom on the main floor had a toilet that ran constantly that my husband ended up fixing temporarily.

Sorry for the low rating. Very disappointed with this home. The house was great. The pool was not cleaned and ready for use. The pool man came second day to drain and repair pool liner. We indicated we would use the pool but he stated it was shut down last week but would check the solar panel for operation and clean pool. We left and when we came home nothing was done. The breaker box was left open in the garage area w/padlock laying there . We closed the box and secured lock. Told the neighbour to the north what had occurred. On the 3rd day the neighbours to the south next door had a 8-man roofing crew removing the rolled roofing. They started at 700 a.m. Nice to wake up to. My wife said she would not use the hot tub or pool with 8 men on the roof next door . I know this was out of control of the house owner where we stayed. But the pool was what we thought we rented with the property. Not a restful ,quiet stay. Did enjoy the view. We left early . Oh yes, we thought on Sunday they would not come to roof at all. But they were there at 800a.m. We know if was off season rate but overall disappointed. Will not recommend this location . Oh yes, weather was great. No wind. 24 degree Celsius. Would of enjoyed the pool. We feel there should be a concession for lack of advertised amenities.

Pierina more than went out of her way to familiarize us with the house rules, and I trust that she will have been satisfied with the condition in which the property was returned to her. If I was to pick one single negative with regard to the dwelling/set-up it would have to be the incessant stomping of little feet on laminate floors above you - even at three o'clock in the morning. From that perspective you will note I have marked the property as over-priced, as full-fare customers on long distance haul holidays probably don't wish that domestic intrusion on their holiday. Difficult situation - mouths must be fed............

A very good note, and you're probably sick of hearing this, is that I have decided to relocate to Lion's Bay in the next few years - which was the main objective of the trip. And when that day finally comes I owe you a beer for your efforts! Hope you're up for it.

Thanks to EMR Vacation Rentals, our family spent an idyllic week on Vancouver Island, in an oceanview log home that far exceeded our expectations. We were warmly greeted upon arrival by the owner himself and the beautiful property instantly felt like home. We had front-row seats for the majestic sunrises over Sooke Basin each morning, we picnicked at a nearby cove, we cooked and barbequed to our hearts' content, we watched whales from a Zodiac boat off of nearby Sooke, we read books by the fire in the evening and we watched the stars from the deck late at night. The house was very well equipped and this made our stay very comfortable and a home from home feeling. Kathy and Dwight obviously have been very thoughtful about peoples needs when vacationing. It was, as described, 10 minutes from the gorgeous beach and well placed for town, coffee bars, shops and of course the mini golf which one grandson was over the moon about. The accommodations are clean and the amenities are good - gym and hot tub are great and the windows block out a lot of noise. The location is ideal. The living space was kind of on the small side - for 6 people, you need more places to sit and hang out. We did not read the fine detail that the ground floor did not have a full bath - it was listed as a 3bd/3ba which was sorely disappointing when we got there. Otherwise, everything else was good.

Beautiful view and beautiful home. Vancouver Island is a wonderful place to visit. We enjoyed touring other towns and actually spent very little of our time in Victoria. The city was very crowded and parking is not easily available but other small towns on the Island were enough to keep us entertained.

We were also surprised to learn there are 62 golf courses on the island and also some wonderful wineries. We plan to return again.

Our stay at the Pinecrest Chalet was excellent. As a family of 6, it truly gave us a sense of peace and comfort. We used this time to visit our oldest son who is studying in downtown Vancouver. He had the week off, so 5 of us flew out to join up with him. The proximity to Whistler made each day a beautiful picturesque drive.

Having had the Chalet for the week helped build memories forever. With all the features the Chalet made it feel like a home away from home.

Eagles Nest was excellent! We stayed in many different types of accommodation during our vacation to Canada and this was our favourite. Beautiful sunsets and views of wildlife from the sun room gave hours of entertainment as well as walks along the bay in the early morning. We were most impressed by the location, a quiet yet friendly place in Roberts Bay, and within easy reach of the highway to explore the islands offerings. Perfect location for exploring downtown without the need to hire a car! The hop-on hop-off trolley ride also stopped very near the apartment so by buying a 2 day ticket was able to travel further afield easily.

Excellent 'bonus' facilities- swimming pool and bowling alley which we made loads of use of.

We travelled with an 8 month old baby and the apartment worked really well- plenty of room for travel cot, and washing machine and dishwasher made dealing with any mess very easy. Carpets are very light though so would recommend to any other parents that they bring a blanket for their baby to sit on in case of minor sick ups! Fed baby on wipe clean kitchen floor in case of any floor spills which worked well.

Only minor complaint was that there was a lot of white hair on the floor, probably belonging to a dog. Apartment did not smell of dog or cat however but constantly having to take hairs off clothes.

Excellent customer service from Lori. Very helpful and accommodating of the Vancouver-UK time difference when organizing accommodation. Extremely efficient and friendly.

Whenever booking through an unknown holiday / vacation rental service particularly when paying up front you are always a bit paranoid about whether it is a shonky company out to rip you off. I can now reassure any future renters that there is excellent accommodation when you arrive, and that you do get your deposit back if you leave apartment in good condition.

We booked our trip over a year ago, which was amazing on Richard's part. We were able to have my mom and dad from Ontario join us. Since we only see them once a year it was a great experience to share with them. The house was breathtaking to be in and the weather was hot but perfect. Having the pool there was a life saver for our family. I also wanted to say thank you to the whole group at EMR we were spoiled by the area and will definitely return again.

House was in a great location.

Shame that the house was not ready properly cleaned and cupboards / fridge etc. emptied on our arrival on Saturday 18th July, despite having paid for the rental from Friday 17th - although EMR worked hard to address this. Not all facilities working e.g. hot-tub.

Would be helpful to be left some local instructions e.g. refuse collection arrangements, how to use the air conditioning etc.

Suggest it may be worth warning guests that pets could be present - cats were in the house - and one was asleep on one of the beds on our arrival, and there was a dog in the garden for quite a few week days whilst we were there think the owner was using the office by the jetty. One of our family has a severe allergy to animal hair and we are not comfortable with dogs.

Guests should also be advised that the owner and friends / family? may access the office in the garden and the jetty someone was there a few times to use the jet-ski so that they are aware they do not have exclusive and unencumbered use of the property.

Testimony: Over the Strait

We were impressed with the overall layout of the home itself from all interior furnishings to the breathtaking ocean view. All appliances, barbecue etc were excellent and worked well. We were very impressed with how the home was well concealed by the planting around the perimeter giving lots of privacy. We had some minor concerns with the cleaning as I do not think the main family rm hardwood floors were washed from the last tenants as spills marks were noticeable all around the stereo/TV area and especially around the kitchen garbage can which I personally washed. Also a little better carpet vacuuming would remove all the dead bugs under all the windows doors upstairs & down. Some problems with a plugged toilet and broken window blinds when we arrived were corrected within a couple of days. The martini pool was never cleaned from our arrival and was full of bugs and debris by months end. One item that my wife was not happy was how hot the home got during the stay. It was cooler outside on some days and very uncomfortable to sleep at night. We keep a round the clock vigil on the window blinds/screens etc for daytime sun and cool ocean winds but it was not enough. The skylights may need some sort of blind from the straight on heat. A/C may also be a good investment down the road which would help out during the summer months. A standard oscillating fan would also help keep air moving. If the heat issue inside the home was not such a major problem my ranking would have been much higher on your scale for all areas.

We enjoyed the Tanglewood setting. The main problem was the lack of air conditioning, fans, etc. Since there were no screens on the doors, to the upstairs deck, etc. -- it meant that there was very limited air movement. When you add the temperatures that we had -- the space was often uncomfortable.

The location for a family with younger children is great. The house itself is well appointed and located.

My only complaint is that due to the unusual weather conditions, the apartment was unbearably hot, which meant that we didn't feel as comfortable going back to the apartment during the day. I appreciate that Air conditioning is not usually needed in Vancouver, but with these extreme temperatures endured during our stay July 28th to Aug 4th, I would have hoped that the owner would have arranged for a portable air-co unit. Until Monday eve, we could not get the temperature below 35 degrees during the day and 31 degrees over night, despite letting the fans run air over ice. On monday night the temp went down to 29 degrees.

We had a great family holiday in wonderful surroundings.
The only constructive criticism I would offer was that with such a wonderful of of the cove and lake below, it would have been really great to have been able to have either a kayak or small boat along with the property.
The service was first class and we would definitely recommend this house. The superbly well equipped games room in the basement and the vast array of books throughout the house enabled everyone to relax in the way which best suited their individual tastes.

It would be really important to mention on your website that the owner lives on premises. We did enjoy our stay but knowing that would have made us look for something else. It felt a bit intrusive when the owner went through the house while we'd stepped out for a bit. It's just something that would be nice to know ahead of time. Also, the cleanliness in general was great but the pull-out couches were covered in dead insects.

We were delighted with Oceanside Suite. It was bright, clean and beautifully furnished. The owner was friendly and helpful. Everything was even better than we had expected. The temperatures during our few day stay were, may have been as I understand, unseasonably warm. I did not realize until we were in the unit however, that there was no air conditioning. There was only one fan for the entire unit. The whole unit, but especially the upstairs bedrooms, were stifling at times. Being essentially on ground level, there was very little ventilation and relief from what little breeze reached that level. I was not very comfortable leaving every window wide open all night, some right on the street, but it was either that or swelter. Also, the street is very loud until the early morning hours with foot and motor traffic only made worse because all the windows needed wide open.

The location is excellent. Our greeter was very pleasant and helpful. All things considered though, a very nice place to stay. Thank you.

Our family of 7 adults and 5 children thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The accommodation were excellent. I would like to have known 4-wheel drive was suggested, and that one kitchen drawer front was false, as I dropped it on my leg. We will send some pictures for the guestbook soon. We have rated our EMR Vacation Rental experience poorly because
- the cottage was not a separate unit. It was a duplex, attached to an owners unit. This was never mentioned website, contract, photos. We would never had rented this unit. False advertising, shame on you!
- Many listed amenities were unavailable or in poor working condition.
VCR, kayak, bicycles, computer printer, toaster, hair blow dryer
- none of the main floor windows had screens on them. It was summer! Breeze or Bugs.
- downstairs toilet seat was not attached! Very frustrating, and dangerous.
- for a unit that was to accommodate 8 people the kitchen was lacking many cooking items only had 6 teaspoons, no large bowls for salads or chips, no ice cube trays, and the cutting board - yuck
- we told our greeter 4 times that we would be checking out at 1100 am as per our contract, and yet he arranged for the cleaners to arrive at 1030 am.

Had this rental not been arranged to celebrate my mothers 80th birthday with family members arriving throughout the week we would have left the property immediately.
Your website and reservation/contract system strongly protects the owner, however there is nothing in place to protect the renter.
Unfortunately, as a result of this experience, my family will have nothing good to say about EMR Vacation Rentals.

I found EMR vacation to be very efficient and very much enjoyed the stay. Two points spoiled the accommodation. The first being that paying so much money and renting the property for a month I'd have expected a cleaning service at least once. Its a couple of hundred dollars so should be a matter of course for a long rental. Secondly, whilst the property was great in this day and age they can't expect repeat rentals if they don't have a half decent plasma TV. The main living areas had one TV tucked in a corner with one sofa for two, ridiculous for such a big home. Admittedly there are tvs in the bedrooms but all groups like to get together and watch a movie in the evenings at some point. I wouldn't rent this property again for this reason- the owners need to get a comfortable TV viewing area. Besides this the house was great and we very much enjoyed staying there.

Testimony: Neptune By The Sea

Neptune by the Sea was a perfect house for our family vacation. The pool table, spa and TV provided evening entertainment. We all enjoyed seeing and taking pictures of the bald eagles that landed in the tree right next to the house and all the boat traffic. The location was so peaceful and serene that we had no choice but to relax and enjoy! We are already thinking about when our next trip to Vancouver Island will be.

As a side note, we did found ourselves wishing the kitchen was a bit more equipped. There weren't any extras stocked such as paper towels, garbage bags etc and no basic pantry items such as flour, sugar etc. The selection of pans for cooking was minimal and we had to get a little creative to make the one real meal we attempted.

EMR Vacation rentals was great and would use them in the future. We stayed at three different places and all were different in appearance, amenities, greeters, etc. This accommodation was centrally located with a great view and supplied everything that was needed. Internet service was not dependable and with such a great view, windows were not clean. Greeter was on the quiet side with not much to say, but nice.

We did enjoy our stay here and would use EMR again.

The service before we arrived was excellent, but things went steadily downhill on our arrival day. We had pre-arranged to arrive a little earlier than 4pm and in the end did so at about 3.30pm. Unfortunately, on arrival our greeter did not know even where the apartment was in the building or if she had the correct keys. When we entered the accommodation, it was not ready. The owners were there and had clearly not been informed that we were due to arrive early. They were even still setting up the TV which was left on the floor. There was no internet access as promised which was a real downside for our stay.
Having stayed in self catering accommodation before, we were extremely disappointed that EMR had not taken the responsibility to make sure that the apartment was as it should be prior to our arrival. Also, having just come off a ten-hour flight, to arrive in an apartment with not even the basic provisions such as a loaf of bread or milk in refrigerator was terrible - having to straight away go out to look for a supermarket in a strange city when you are jet-lagged and exhausted was really bad.
The greeter had no details of our booking and was relying on us to supply her with all this information e.g. amount paid, damage deposit etc. and only seemed interested in getting an imprint of my credit card- the reason for which she was unable to explain - I still don't understand why as all payment had been taken several months back.
Although the owners were very nice and gave us a contact number, there were no instructions in the apartment for anything or any information about the surrounding area and nothing about the leisure facilities or even where to put out the trash. This too was very frustrating and we had to waste time chasing stuff up.

The apartment itself was great and very well equipped. The only improvement for jet-lagged travellers and people on holiday wanting to relax and have a lie in would be to have the ability to darken the rooms as they became very bright and hot especially the smaller one as soon as the sun came up.

The final straw was check out. Again, I had to chase up EMR about what the arrangements were. Having been told that the 'greeter' would have a key, it turned out that the cleaner was checking us out and could not access the building. If I had not been proactive in calling the office again, she could have been outside for a very long time and we could have been late for a flight. To not have a proper official person checking us out, confirming everything was ok re damage deposit and perhaps checking an inventory for the property was exceptionally poor.

We were left feeling that as soon as EMR had our money, that was were the customer service ended and this is what we will be telling the owners as well.

All in all, we really enjoyed our stay in Vancouver and the accommodation was excellent for our needs at a very good rate.

Our only suggestions would be that perhaps a sofa bed in the lounge would provide flexibility in sleeping arrangements and some cooling in the bedrooms as they remained very warm in the evenings after hot days.

I booked my travel plans well in advance and found no snags in the service provided. The homeowner contacted me with no problems. All of my questions were answered without hesitation and concerns were addressed immediately.
The rental property was clean and ready upon arrival. All of the amenities were available in the unit that were listed on the advertisement. The rental unit had more amenities than I even have at home!!! We had no issues with neighbours and vice-versa, even though we had our 2 young daughters with us.

I would say that one thing missing from the ad would be that the building has a fire station right beside it and can be quite noisy when the trucks leave at all hours of the day or night. Also the fitness facility should specify cardio equipment only along with the pool, sauna, steam room and hot tub.

I would recommend EMR to my friends and family for sure. It made for a very satisfying trip and took a lot of pressure off finding appropriate accommodations that were kid-friendly.

The condo is a beautiful accommodation. We did really enjoy our stay and the location is great for the holidays.
I think it would be helpful to know that certain things are not included in the rate paid so that a family is prepared. Things like toilet tissue, dishwasher soap, hand soap, garbage bags. Really, i think for the amount that we paid, those things should be included, but even to be aware before you come would be helpful. We even had to pay for, and get, propane for the barbeque. We had invited our whole family over for a bbq and no gas ... Good thing we had a car.
Just a note too, so that you are aware. One of us was visiting with friends on the sidewalk when they were almost hit with an apple that had come from way up the building. Not nice.
But on the whole, it was great. We all enjoyed the privacy of our own washrooms and bedrooms. We enjoyed the pool and other facilities every day. It was very quiet.

Harbour View was exactly the accommodation we wanted for our April stay in Victoria. The condo was centrally located with a great view of the harbour, close to shopping, restaurants and cycling and walking paths. The underground parking was a no-worry solution for our rental car.

Condo...beautifully furnished, comfy bed and couch, gorgeous architecture. Lighting in the kitchen was terrible, all the food looked gray and there was no cupboard space to put your food...guess it was designed for people who microwave. My major complaint was the noise from BarCode, which was every night from 8pm -2am..constant loud drunken shrieking, can you believe I got used to this...can't say our agent didn't warn me... but I would suggest the owners protest loudly to city hall. Other than that the location was amazing..steps to everything. The condo was spotless, service great, Harvey was on time and very nice. I found it irritating that I had to be met to check out. This was a first for me as I've always just left the keys on the counter and the door locks itself.. As I was not going to get the poor greeter out of bed at 3am for my flight I had to stay in a hotel. Also got into a racket with the neighbours who parked in our spot, twice !!!! But it was still very lovely to feel in the lap of luxury for a whole month, with no dogs bugging me I have 3 Newfs Thank-you very much I give EMR 4 and the condo 3 looses one for BarCode

I found the Harbour View condo exactly as described and pictured online and more. It is elegantly furnished and the well appointed kitchen has most everything you'd have at home. Without a doubt, this condo is well above the norm for rental accommodations I have had occasion to use in the U.S., Europe and Vancouver in the same price range. It even has good reading lights which is something that is too often lacking in rentals! The condo is ideally situated for someone like myself who was there without a car as anywhere downtown is easily accessible on foot. The immediate neighbourhood is interesting with fresh produce available in Chinese markets, a number of fine restaurants and cafes and even 2 good art supply stores--a must for a painter like myself.
I found EMR Vacation Rentals a reliable agency to deal with all financial transactions were easily done by credit card and fully documented by emails, both check in and check out staff were there in good time and my damage deposit was returned promptly, well before the 30 day limit. I particularly appreciated dealing with Lori whom I found very personable and pleasant and whose positive attitude encouraged me to book with the agency in the first place. I will be sure to book with EMR Vacations the next time I stay in Victoria.

We all really enjoyed staying at the Aspens. The convenience was unparalleled as the skis were out of the room so less snow melt. The fireplace was great and dried all of our gear nicely. The 2 bedrooms were great as we all had our privacy and each couple had a bathroom. TVs in each room let us all keep up with our shows if we could stay awake after skiing all day.

My husband, two children and I had the privilege of staying in the lovely Oscar Manor Suite while recently visiting friends and family in Victoria. We found the suite to be located in a visually-pleasing, quiet, conveniently-located part of the city and certainly enjoyed coming home to it every evening after a busy day of site-seeing and visiting. It was so nice to have our own place rather than staying in a hotel or with friends or relatives as we could just relax with each other and were also able to save some money by preparing some of our own meals. What a great option!
The suite itself is newly structured with attractive features and a high comfort level. It proved to be very convenient to have our own washer and dryer! We enjoyed a well-equipped kitchen and bathroom - we really didn't lack anything we needed! The only suggestion I would make is, perhaps some curtains over the kitchen window for privacy and some washable mats on the stone floor because although it is beautiful and easy to keep, it is a bit cold on the feet!
All arrangements with EMR went very smoothly and it was overall a very enjoyable experience we look forward to using again! Thank you.

The EMR team overall was professional, responsive and very pleasant to deal with. We dealt primarily with Lori McCurdy and she did everything she promised, she was great. If there were any concerns, they were discussed and resolved to our satisfaction. If we were disappointed it was with the cleanliness upon arrival. It had been cleaned, however it is obviously a light cleaning effort and 105 we paid, we did not feel we got good value. We also thought since the economy was struggling the pricing was high and was not adjusted due to the times. If we were to return to Vancouver we could easily find something nicer for less money. EMR needs to review some of their pricing. We definitely would not pay the same price again.

Testimony: Brava 26

Brava 26 is a great condo in Yaletown. Loved the 180 degree view from the 26th floor had mountains during the day and the twinkling city lights at night. Since the building is taller than many around it, it felt more like a penthouse view. The building & the unit were clean and well maintained. Close to pretty much everything, and will be phenomenal when the Olympic road/SkyTrain construction projects are complete. We'll look forward to visiting again.

Ocean Point is a beautiful house and we enjoyed staying there so much. The views and wildlife are awesome and I'm sure we will be back again one day - we had sunshine nearly every day and the sunrises and sunsets were amazing. I spent quite a few happy hours wandering along the beach studying the driftwood and jellyfish - I will definitely be including some of the fascinating shapes in my next piece of artwork. We had a wonderful stay at Deer Lake Manor, the house and garden is fabulous, and Johannes and Marie-Louise made us so welcome, as did Duchess, their gorgeous dog. I really would highly recommend it, it is well situated, easy to get to the sky train, and within walking distance of the local heritage site and for walks around deer lake, having said that it is in a beautiful area, very peaceful. On arrival Johannes showed us round and had supplied us with milk, fresh fruit etc. and a welcome cake which was such a nice touch. So much thought has clearly gone into the restoration of this house, and every detail has been finished with perfection.

It is a place I would love to go back to some time in the future.

Just a few comments on our stay in the above suite for one week while in Victoria for our son's wedding.

The suite itself contained high end appliances, furniture and kitchen accessories. The beds were very comfortable. It was wonderful to stay in a place that was so self contained. Having a washer/dryer in the suite was a bonus.

The location in the downtown area was exactly what we needed and we always felt secure in entering and leaving the building.

A special thank you to our Sales Agent, Rich, who was always available for questions and very professional in all the dealings we had with him. It was also a pleasure to deal with Tim and Courtney.

I don't normally respond to survey but this property exceeded our expectations so much I felt compelled to let you know how much we appreciated our stay.

The home and grounds were clean, spacious, well-quipped and homey. We felt instantly at home and relaxed as we read books and looked out over the ocean, The grounds were lovely and the beds/sheets were better than any high-end hotel we've stayed at! We cooked a lot of meals in the large wall-equipped kitchen and dined in the dining room over looking the ocean. The decorating was very much to our taste and reminded us of our home. It was such a comfortable stay that our daughter asked to spend her 15th birthday this summer at the house and we had a nice celebration for her on August 16.

This rental was one of the best places we have ever stayed and I wonder if you could pass these comments and appreciation on to the owners.

I just wanted to send you our thanks for two great properties. The Oceanview Estate turned out better than expected for us. My Mother and the kids loved that they could go out each morning and pick fresh figs and blackberries for their breakfast! The location was a good jump off point for day trips, and we realized after going to Mayne Island for the wedding, that we would be limited in the activities we could do on the island for a whole week. We took your advice and got to Salt Spring Island for market day. Also, Sidney turned out to be quite a gem of a town. It was small enough to not feel crowded, but had all the amenities of good dining, shopping, and access to the water. We also made time for the evening market in Sidney, and enjoyed that as much (if not more) as the Salt Spring market.

The Horseshoe Bay property was also lovely. Again, it was nice to return to a smaller, quieter village after a day of hustle and bustle in Vancouver. We appreciate your assistance and will keep your company in mind next time we travel to BC.
