Located in the South Cariboo region of British Columbia, Canim Lake Cottage is the perfect getaway from life's hectic pace. This lake is one of the larger lakes in the Cariboo, surrounded by expansive meadows, mountains, rolling hills, and forests of pine, spruce and Douglas-fir trees. Recently constructed, the cottage has all the comforts of home and is a wonderful place for rest and relaxation.

Upon entering you'll find two bedrooms. The first bedroom has a queen bunk bed and the second bedroom has two single bunks. The main floor also has a full bathroom with a large soaker tub. Descending the stairs from the main level brings you to an open-plan living level. This level has the master bedroom with a four poster queen bed and a three piece bath. You'll find the quaint country kitchen is equipped with nickel plated heritage style appliances and an island complete with a sink and bar seating. Everything you need to create your favourite culinary delights is easily accessible. There is also a gas barbeque outside for grilling. The living room has over-stuffed chairs and large windows bathing the room in natural light, providing good views to the lake. Open the double doors to the deck and sit outside to enjoy the clear bright sunshine and take in the panoramic view of the surrounding mountains and the beautiful jade coloured Canim Lake. With comfort in mind the living room is a wonderful place to sit back, relax and enjoy the peace of being away from it all. Play board games, take a nap or enjoy chatting on cool clear summer evenings on the sundeck. For your added vacation experience there is a gas fireplace to cozy up to while reading a good book or to tell fishing stories about the one that got away. If you feel the need to stay in touch with the outside world there is a telephone and satellite television.

The outdoor life at Canim Lake Cottage offers so much for you to enjoy. If it's been a long time since you had a campfire there are two fire pits available, one in the front of the home and one of the beach and firewood is provided. Aside from your own private dock and swimming area, this is a great lake for water activities such as fishing, canoeing and boating. There is a boat rental shop just a short walk down the road. This lake offers some of the finest freshwater fly fishing in BC and is the angling centre of a region famed for the size of its char or Laker, as the locals call them. Here you can set your lines for Rainbow trout and Kokanee. There are numerous trails through beautiful scenic terrain for hiking and mountain biking and the surrounding mountains and ranch country is superb for horseback riding. Wildlife viewing opportunities abound for spotting otters, beavers, black bears, moose, mule deer, waterfowl, bald eagles and songbirds unique to the Cariboo region. Canim Lake Cottage has so much to offer you'll want to come back again and again.

Driftwood Cottage on Mudge Island is the perfect retreat for the traveler who would like to leave city behind. This serene cottage is located in the Gulf Islands between Vancouver Island and the mainland of British Columbia. The property is a new West Coast style cottage located on a private, ocean front lot. It comprises of 3 bedrooms, den and two bathrooms and is situated on false narrows facing Gabriola Island. This beautiful cedar constructed cottage offers everything one could wish for a peaceful hide away from the world. Everything for a perfect relaxing vacation is included.

Important Notice this property is a location where you must bring in your groceries as there are no stores or restaurants of any kind on Mudge Island. There is also complimentary use of the ownerand#39;s car for use to travel to and from the dock.

There is a 200 square foot deck set back 60 feet from the seashore and a host of architectural delights. Set on 0.8 acres of land with approximately 300 feet of easily accessible beachfront, down a short staircase. The beach is also accessible by shallow draft boat at high tide and is a delight to view and explore at low tide. At low tide there are edible clams, crabs and oysters for the picking and for much of the year sea lions and seals along with eagles and herons can be viewed hunting for fish in false narrows from the deck.

The Cottage will sleep 6 people easily. The master bedroom has a king sized bed and en suite bathroom also there is a crib and booster seat for infants and toddlers. The second bedroom comprises of a single over queen bunk bed and has an extra trundle bed and the third bedroom is single over single bunk bed. The living room and den both have queen size sofa beds.

Other features include hot tub with sun cover overlooking the ocean, a beach shower, a wood burning stove with plenty of wood, surround sound TV and DVD player and many DVDs to view, a small library of books, a small stereo unit,and 3 mountain bikes 1 mens, 1 womens, 1 kids plus 1 trail along bike which is good for children 4 years up to 9 years of age and a trail along buggy for infants and toddlers that carries two.

Included in the price is a weekly maid service for cleaning and linen changing.

North Lake Waterfront Home is a comfortable, newly-furnished home featuring spectacular panoramic lake views both upstairs and down. Wake up to the morning sun breaking through the mist that clings to the water. With its fully equipped kitchen and laundry facilities, you have all the convenience of city dwelling in a secluded natural setting.

North Lake Waterfront Home features a large deck situated only steps from the water's edge on North Lake. Walk right in the crystal-clear water from the sandy beach. This beach also happens to be a nesting ground for the endangered Western Painted Turtle - if you're very lucky, you may get to witness some egg-laying or hatching activity. The home boasts 180 degree panoramic lake views from the open plan living room/ eating area downstairs and from the master bedroom upstairs. The master bedroom features a comfortable hand-crafted four-poster bed, while the downstairs bedroom offers two twin beds which can be pushed together to make a King. Curl up to the cozy wood-burning stove and watch a DVD, listen to music or play one of the many board games available. There are 2 private docks with a rowboat, paddle boat and life jackets for guest's use. The grounds are carefully landscaped, displaying dozens of varieties of Rhododendrons and other local indigenous plant species. The Lakeside Cottage is just 100 meters down the driveway from this Vacation Home. Renting both can be the perfect solution for a party of six, offering one couple an extra degree of privacy.

Once you arrive in Gibsons, it is a scenic drive up the coast to our waterfront accommodations. Sit on our sandy beach and soak up the sun in your own private retreat. Or relax with your coffee on the deck while you listen to the call of the loons off in the distance.In the summer, the lake reaches warm temperatures for swimming. In the winter, enjoy a book by the fireplace or try your luck fishing for lake trout. There are no motorized boats on North Lake, so if peace and quiet is what you're looking for then you have come to the right spot! Wistaria Manor is located in a wilderness setting, found in the Lakes District. This is located in the Central Interior of British Columbia. We are excited to share with you this unique area of British Columbia. You will be staying in a very beautiful, well-maintained log home. The manor is situated on 140 acres with vistas overlooking the Coast Mountains and Ootsa Lake. Along with the obvious breathtaking views you will see, you may be privileged to see the unexpected wild big game like black bear, moose, deer, wolf, coyote, cougar, lynx, wolverine, and others who sometime cross through the yard. A spectacular glacier fed lake that is 320 Km or 200 miles long is also part of the view as you enjoy your morning coffee. The mountains across the lake are within the northern boundaries of Tweedsmuir Provincial Park, one of British Columbia's largest natural preserves.

As you arrive at the Wistaria Manor you are literally at the end of the paved road. At the Manor you will find ample parking in our drive around parking area. The Manor has a large wrap around deck which is a wonderful area to spend time relaxing and taking in all the views, or barbecuing that special meal. Upon entering the home your first impression is the greatness of the great room with its lofty log interior. You will find information waiting with maps and all local highlights to start planning your time here. This is where you can relax, cook your meals, sit at the table and watch the wildlife pass through the yard or just enjoy the mountain view. You can sit by the fireplace in the evening, read a book or enjoy a movie on the entertainment centre, tucked away in the antique wardrobe.

The large master bedroom, with a queen sized bed and antique furniture is also on the main floor along with the main bathroom. Above the master bedroom is the loft that can be used as a quiet reading area, with a computer hook up for your notebook. The loft overlooks the kitchen and great room and also has a beautiful lake/mountain view. There is a hide-a-bed couch that can be used for sitting or sleeping. Below the main floor on the lower floor, there are two single beds in one guest room and a family recreation room with a futon that will sleep two. You have a powder toilet room and laundry facility here, also.

The surrounding area is populated by working cattle ranches where you will see many more animals than people. There are hay fields all along the road coming from Burns Lake as you wind along the road through many of lakes in the area. You will have an enjoyable ride on the free ferry crossing Francois Lake between town and the Manor. Fly fishing opportunities abound in the small to large lakes. Float tubes belly boat or pontoon boats are ideal for these lakes. Rainbow Trout up 10 lbs. plus can be found in Ootsa Lake. Steelhead Trout and Salmon fishing is less than an hour drive away on the famous Morrice and Bulkley river systems. Big game wildlife viewing and hunting in the fall are some of the reasons we live here. Horseback exploration of the area is a dream come true. You may want to bring your hiking boots, or rent a machine to travel throughout our developed trail and off road systems. There is a guide service in the area that can be accessed as needed for photo safaris or to cross Ootsa Lake and explore the Tweedsmuir Park wilderness where there are no motorized vehicles allowed.
